BEST TIPS ON RENTING A LIMOUSINE OR PARTY BUS IN 2019

1 Look before you book. VIsit the company in person before hiring them. Check the physical address on sunbiz 1st. There are tons of limousine companies opening up without owning a vehicle.  Insist of visiting their location registered on sunbiz. Insist of seeing the vehicle you want to rent at that location. If they refuse or give you excuses, then most likely they do not own that vehicle. The time to find out what you're getting is not on the date of the special occasion.

2. Reputation! A company should be able to demonstrate that they have successfully operated for many years and have a solid reputation for quality and safety, proper and valid licensing, and up-to-date insurance. When you visit the company,  look at the windshield of the vehicle. A permit for each county must be visible with the correct year issued.

3. Ask for proof of insurance.
Operators should be eager to provide proof of valid, appropriate current insurance coverage for their fleet. Beware that some limousine service providers may insure their vehicles under a personal auto policy, if at all. Personal auto insurance policies rarely cover the clients who hire the vehicle.

4. Verify that the drivers has the appropriate license required with your county and any other counties you will be going to during your rental. In South Florida a driver should have a "hack" lisence in Palm Beach,  Broward and Miami Dade counties.

5. Verify that the vehicle has passed required annual inspection in all 3 counties and that the inspection is current and valid. Request and obtain proof from the company.

6.  Seek quality chauffeurs. A professional chauffeur is equally as important to the success of your event as is a safe vehicle. Choose a provider that places a high value on the caliber of their chauffeurs and can provide proof of their qualifications.

7. Get everything in writing. Special occasions, such as birthdays, weddings and proms, commonly require personalized attention to your specific requirements. The more specific your requirements, the further in advance you should reserve your limousine. When doing so, insist on a written contract that clearly states all details of your reservation, and be sure you understand all terms and conditions of your agreement. Read every page of your contract... TAKE YOUR TIME!

8.  Use your seatbelt, even if the law doesn’t require that you wear it. Make sure the vehicle you hire has seatbelts.

Know your rights. Inquire about the company's cancellation policy and get a copy in writing. In 2019 there are so many unlicensed party buses and limousines in South Florida which becomes a concern for your special day, and remember if it's to good to be true, then it is.
